‘As the Southern Brolga is listed as endangered, the trigger for adverse effect on the species has been determined by Government to be 1%. The Mt Fyans Project is 10 times the trigger for the total Victorian population, and 20 times the trigger for the genetically separate population of 100 breeding pairs. This project does not satisfy the protection requirements of the Brolga’.
