I’d never heard of this helicopters vs. birds tactic, but if true, it’s not too surprising. It would need to be done repeatedly to be effective.
On the other hand, many wind-shills claim that offshore wind provides new nesting sites; same rationalization used for oil rigs, further demonstrating kinship between the industries.
