Altered Cortical And Sub Cortical Connectivity Due To Infrasound Administered Near The Hearing Threshold-Evidence From fMRI.

'While increased local connectivity in ACC and rAmyg may only reflect an initial bodily stress response towards (sub-)liminal IS, we speculate that stimulation over longer periods of time could exert a profound effect on autonomic functions and may eventually lead to the formation of symptoms such as sleep disturbances, panic attacks or depression, especially when additional risk factors, such as an increased sensibility towards noise, or strong expectations about the harmfulness of IS are present'. -Markus Weichenberger, Martin Bauer, Robert Kühler, Johannes Hensel, Caroline Garcia Forlim, Albrecht Ihlenfeld, Bernd Ittermann, Jürgen Gallinat, Christian Koch, and Simone Kühn

Climate Change: Electrical industry’s ‘Dirty Secret’ Boosts Warming

(SF6) 'has the highest global warming potential of any known substance. It is 23,500 times more warming than carbon dioxide (CO2)'. "In the end, the electrical industry lobby was too strong and we had to give in to them," said Dutch Green MEP Bas Eickhout, who was responsible for the attempt to regulate F-gases. "The electric sector was very strong in arguing that if you want an energy transition, and you have to shift more to electricity, you will need more electric devices. And then you also will need more SF6.

Why Renewables Can’t Save The Climate

The underlying problem with solar and wind is that they are too unreliable and energy-dilute. Solar and wind farms require between 400 and 750 times more land than nuclear and natural gas plants. As we approach the limits of renewables, it seems inevitable that, over time, Democratic politicians will increasingly point to nuclear energy as the centerpiece of their plans for saving the climate, not solar panels and wind turbines.

Burn Money: Wind Farms In Tas and Vic Are “Correlated” — All Useless At The Same Time.

Tasmania – Australia’s offshore wind farm? -Guest post by Tom Quirk and Paul Miskelly. Is it possible that Tasmania could become Australia’s offshore wind farm? A proposal by UPC Renewables[1] [1] an international developer of wind farms, suggests that a 1000 MW wind farm could play on important role in moderating the intermittent supply of electricity from renewable resources.

Farmers Slam Controversial Victorian Solar Decision As ‘Gutless’ With Community Concerns ‘Ignored’

In April 2018, the three projects were "called in" by the Victorian Planning Minister, Richard Wynne, at the request of the City of Greater Shepparton, which did not feel it had relevant planning guidelines to give approval to the projects. Using the projects as an example, the Minister then appointed a planning panel to develop new solar planning guidelines for the state. In July this year, the Government released new planning guidelines for large-scale solar farms. The guidelines were introduced to encourage investment and provide certainty for councils and developers around acceptable outcomes for land, communities and the environment. Now, just weeks before the new guidelines are set to be adopted, the Minister has used the old guidelines to approve the three projects.

State Imports Energy As Prices Skyrocket.

POWER companies in Victoria are being forced to pay five times as much for electricity as they did three years ago and are now reliant on other states to keep the lights on. The Herald Sun can reveal Victoria flipped to taking more electricity from the rest of the country than it was exporting for the first time in 2018-19. It is also now a net importer along with South Australia — a state that has had some of the highest wholesale energy prices in the world in recent years. Federal Energy Minister Angus Taylor said he feared Victoria would face more blackouts this summer.
